Modern bathrooms tend to be light and airy – the bathroom lighting fixtures are an important part of what makes any bathroom look stylish and attractive. Once you have cleared out the excess stuff you can give the room a thorough cleaning, preferably during daylight hours so you can see what you are doing. Be sure to clean the light fixtures and replace any burned out or missing light bulbs. This is a good opportunity to switch to energy efficient LED or CFL bulbs if you have not already done so. Sometimes you will find that a clean fixture with fresh light bulbs can really brighten up a dated bathroom; it may not be necessary to replace the fixture at all.
